🌸Protein will NOT make you bulky, but it will help keep your hair from falling out and it will keep you full longer than carbs
🌸Although carbs are lower calories than fats, fats are the better option
🌸Fast weight loss = fast weight gain. Slow progress is permanent progress
🌸You can drink too much water, stay safe
🌸You need to listen to your body. If you’re hungry, eat
🌸Purging will damage EVERY PART OF YOUR BODY. Your teeth, esophagus, stomach, hands, skin, and digestive system will be destroyed over time. You will smell like vomit. You even run the risk of breaking blood vessels in your eyes from forced pressure build up
🌸Laxatives will not help with weight loss, your body still absorbs the calories through digestion. But, laxatives will destroy your stomach lining, cause terrible cramps, and possibly make you poop your pants if you don’t time it perfectly
🌸If a boy doesn’t like you at your starting weight, he won’t like you at your lower weight either. If he does, he’s not a good guy
🌸Getting thin won’t magically make you popular
🌸Eating less than 1,000 calories a day will only lead to binging
🌸If you are a student, please don’t eat less than 800 calories a day, and always eat breakfast. Eating 3 low calorie meals a day will help you stay focused. Eating disorders do tend to impact your academics
🌸Lifting weights will help keep your skin tight
🌸Fasting 24+ hours more than twice a month will damage your thyroid and causes life long issues
🌸When fasting:
If you feel dizzy, eat
If you feel nauseous, eat
If you feel weak, eat and rest
🌸Malnutrition can set in at any point of your journey and takes a toll on your body no matter what size you are. Please take your vitamins and don’t waste your calories on something with little to no nutritional value
🌸It is never “too soon” to recover. Even if your friends or family don’t take you seriously, a doctor will

You grossly underestimate how many eating disorder blogs are on Tumblr, and you are incredibly ignorant.
Not everyone with an eating disorder is skinny.
Not everyone on these blogs are “pro ana” or support eating disorders. If you are intelligent enough to read, you might want to get your head out of your ass and read some of our descriptions and the things we post or the way we answer people.
A lot of us don’t support eating disorders, we just offer help and support to those suffering.
And reporting all ED blogs doesn’t help anyone at all. Many use it to express themselves and feel a little bit less alone.
Also reporting them won’t magically cure their ED, you f*cking assh*le.

Remember that your body is capable of looking more amazing than you can even imagine yet.
I’ve lost over 100lbs and I can seriously say that at every single stage of my weightloss I’ve thought “I can never get any thinner. It’s not possible for me to look any different. I’m never going to look good”
And every time I lose more I surprise myself. My cheekbones stick out and my jawline is stronger every day. My thighs don’t touch. My cellulite is disappearing. My arms are getting so thin. My stomach is flatter than ever and my hipbones jut out. I can see parts of my ribs and chest bones, and my collarbones now show all the way across my chest leading to my sharp jutting shoulders. My knees and elbows are kind of knobby now.
These are things I never thought would happen and they’re beginning to happen for me.
Even now I see pics and I think about how I’ll seemingly never get there. But if they can do it so will I, damn it.

what eating disorders are actually like : extreme self hatred, thinking about food 24/7, battling whether to eat for hours on end, sleepless nights, eating so much that your skin expands, failure, pooping to the point where your rear is raw, paranoia, isolation, bingeing purging, bingeing purging, throwing up so much that your nuckles are raw and bleeding, exercising and your whole body aches, shaking, being cold all the time, body aches, bloating, lying to everyone, constantly hungry and constantly denying everything good, crying at your reflection, and hating every inch of yourself.

Okay, but can we speak about how mental health is underrated?
If someone sees that you’re gaining weight they’ll tell you to do exercise or eat healthier in order to preserve your body healthy, but if someone sees that you’re isolating yourself, you’re irritable, sees self harm scars or whatever they tell you that everything’s in your mind or that you’re seeking attention!!!!
Just because one is obvious it doesn’t mean that the other one it’s less important, it’s the opposite, IT IS MORE IMPORTANT BECAUSE YOU CANNOT SEE IT.
